Convention Travel Tips
Convention goers will find that parking near the Convention center is in short supply and costly at $10 per entry into a lot. For those needing to park, here’s information on where to park.
Tarrant County delegates also have the option of riding the Trinity Rail Express (TRE) to Union Station in Dallas and switching to the blue line light rail train which will take you directly to the Convention Center.
The trip will take about 1 hour and will cost you $7.50 per day. Tickets can be purchased from the vending machines at the station.
Warning the last train back to all stations in Ft. Worth leaves at 10:20 pm, if that train is full it could be challenging to get home.
If you plan to stay later, an alternative is using the Center Point DFW Airport station. The last train to the Center Point /DFW Airport station leaves Union Station at 11:45 pm.
Rail commuters will also find that the Saturday mornings train schedule is more limited. Arriving in time to make it to 9;00 am caucuses will be challenging unless you depart from the Center Point/ DFW Airport station on the 7:22am train.
Remember that the trains will run on time, even if you are not. Don’t get left behind. Plan your trip today.
