Mourning the loss of long time Republican Activist Estelle Teague
Estelle passed away peacefully Thursday evening. Services for Estelle will be:
Estelle Teague was Born in Houston, TX. She was married to Joseph F. Teague 1950-1996 (Deceased). Estelle had four children: Joseph, Jr., Catherine, David and Anita. She was a member of St. Patrick Cathedral.
Estelle was the backbone of Republicanism in Ft Worth and the Northeast, and a most loyal worker in the Republican Party in Tarrant County since the early 60′s. She was a very active Precinct Chairman and District Director of the TFRW.
She was a founding member and first president of the Northeast Tarrant County Republican Club. The club was founded in July 1972 as the “10/12 Republican Club” and later changed it’s name to the “Northeast Tarrant County Republican Club“. The club has been in continuous operation for 40 years.
Some of Estelle’s political activity included:
Delegate to County Conventions, Delegate to State Conventions, Alternate Delegate Republican National Convention, Delegate to TFRW State Conventions and Delegate to NFRW Conventions.
Estelle worked on many campaigns including John Tower, Barry Goldwater, Nixon, Clements, Reagan/Bush, Phil Gramm and George W. Bush to name a few.
She was involved in many ways. Estelle worked the ballot board, early voting and election judge. She was also involved with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Estelle was Chairman of Tarrant County Child Protective Services Board. She gave many hours caring for children in Tarrant County and across the State on numerous boards.
Estelle will truly be missed. Let us honor Estelle Teague by following in her footsteps and finding those places where we can all give a little time to make a difference. Please join me in keeping her family in our prayers. –Jennifer Hall
